2016 Income and 2017 Goals #Proofreading #Writing #Blogging

I don't know about you, but I love to know how much money other people are making, especially when they are working doing the same things I am doing. I am also a sucker for goals. I love to read the goals of others and find out how they did.

I'm not going to tease you ... here was my 2016 income and below that you can find my 2017 goals. Then you can head to THIS POST to find out how my 2017 went and check out my 2018 goals and plans.

Proofreading: $11,000
Articles: $5,000
Blogging: $3,000
Books: $1,000

This is only a total of $20,000 for the entire year but I realize my limits! Focusing on homeschooling 5 kids really takes a lot out of me mentally, and I'm noticing that finding time to work is getting harder and harder the older they get. Also, instead of waking up at 6:00 a.m. every day no problem, I need my sleep or else I find that I get sick more often, which is not a good way to live!

The good news is that this income takes care of our extra wants and needs (upcoming Florida family vacation, camp fees for 3 family members, braces, etc.), but I'd love to get to a point in the coming years where I have enough articles and books in circulation that the residual income makes it possible for my family to travel even more, and also for us to be able to help out our kids with some of their educational goals. Once the kids are grown, I'd love to be able to give more to charity in a more personal way while also volunteering at those charities. Or just help friends in need. I like to think WAY ahead :-)

Thanks for stopping by and please sign up for an email subscription! If you don't already have it, it comes with a couple of sample chapters of my book and 6 markets that pay over $50 per reprint.
